Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team will look for its first victory of the season on Saturday when it travels to Bucknell for an 11 a.m. contest.
The Pride is coming off a season-opening 15-10 loss to #21 USC on Saturday.

Hofstra gave a strong effort in its season opener at USC before the home squad pulled away in the second half. The Pride led on a pair of occasions in the first half and the game was knotted at five at the break before USC earned the win.
Sophomore
Katie Whelan led Hofstra with five points on four goals and one assist, while junior
Alyssa Parrella posted four goals for the Pride. Junior
Darcie Smith tallied three draw controls, two ground balls and two caused turnovers in the game and freshman
Jess Smith made 11 saves in net.
Bucknell is 0-1 after dropping a 14-4 decision on the road to #14 Virginia Tech on Saturday. Eve Calabria led the Bison with two goals, while Callie DeWitt posted three caused turnovers and two ground balls.
Hofstra is 9-5 all-time against Bucknell and captured last year's meeting in Hempstead by the score of 13-1.
