Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University men's soccer team closes out the regular season Tuesday night when they host Columbia at 7 p.m. at Hofstra Soccer Stadium. The Pride will look to continue a five-game unbeaten streak (3-0-2) as it gets ready for the Colonial Athletic Association Quarterfinals this Friday.
The Pride (8-6-2) is coming off a 3-0 win over Northeastern this past Saturday, with
Matthew Vowinkel scoring all three goals and
Alex Ashton stopping three shots behind a solid team defensive effort.
Columbia is 4-6-4 on the season and is 1-2-2 in its last five outings. The Lions lost to Yale, 2-0, this past Saturday night.
The Pride and the Lions have met 21 times in the past with Columbia holding a 15-2-4 advantage. Hofstra lost the last meeting, in 2018, 4-0 at Columbia.

Following the game, Hofstra will head to Harrisonburg, Virginia, for Friday's CAA Quarterfinal game against Delaware. Hofstra will be the number three seed while Delaware is seeded sixth. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. with the winner advancing to the semifinals on Sunday against No. 2 James Madison at 3 p.m.
