Hempstead, N.Y. –
Graham Radcliffe, volunteer assistant coach of the Hofstra Men's Soccer team, was inducted into the Island Trees High School Athletic Hall of Fame and was honored with the Island Trees Founders Award this spring.
Radcliffe spent 20 years as the head boys' varsity soccer coach at Island Trees, earning league Coach of the Year five times and leading the team to five league championships. He also coached Island Trees to a Nassau County League title in 1997, and was named Nassau County "Paul LeSeur" Coach of the Year in 2011. Radcliffe joins just 12 other coaches to receive Island Trees Hall of Fame honors since the school began the hall in 1997.
Radcliffe, who has been a counselor in the Island Trees School District since 1992, was also selected by an awards committee to receive the district's Founders Award for his work with a student who had faced tragedy this year.
A two-time graduate of Hofstra, Radcliffe played men's soccer for the Pride from 1985-89 and has spent seven seasons as a member of the Hofstra Men's Soccer coaching staff.
