Hempstead, N.Y. – The Hofstra Softball team will square off against a pair of Northeast Conference opponents this week. The Pride will host Wagner for a doubleheader at a new start time of 3 p.m. on Tuesday at Bill Edwards Stadium before traveling to LIU Brooklyn for a single game at 4 p.m. on Wednesday at LIU Field.
Tuesday's doubleheader with Wagner will be available via live stats and Pride Productions separate live video and audio feeds. The audio-only broadcast will be provided by WRHU Radio Hofstra University. Wednesday's game will also be available via live stats and video, provided by LIU Brooklyn. Hofstra (28-8, 12-0 CAA) extended its win streak to 10 games and stayed unbeaten in conference play with a series sweep at Delaware over the weekend, outscoring the Blue Hens, 33-9. Senior

The Seahawks dropped a Northeast Conference doubleheader to Saint Francis on Saturday to fall to 12-21 and 2-7 in the league. Hannah Lewis leads the team with a .344 average, while Karen Prihoda carries a .343 average and a team-best 23 RBIs. In the circle, Morgan Brown (5-10) has seen the most work, posting a 3.75 ERA. The Pride holds a 29-4 advantage in the all-time series with Wagner.
The Blackbirds also dropped a Northeast Conference doubleheader to Saint Francis this weekend, falling to 15-23 and 4-5 in conference. Nereyda Gutierrez leads six players batting over .300 with a .389 average, while Ryleigh Bermea tops the team with five home runs and 29 RBIs. Erynn Sobieski (7-10) leads in the circle with a 5.16 ERA. Wednesday's meeting will be just the fourth between Hofstra and LIU Brooklyn. The Pride won last year's contest, 4-1, at Bill Edwards Stadium to take a 2-1 lead in the all-time series.
Hofstra returns to conference play this weekend, hosting Drexel in the final home games of the season. The Pride will take on the Dragons in a doubleheader beginning at 2 p.m. on Saturday at Bill Edwards Stadium before honoring closing the series Sunday at 12 p.m. with a special pregame Senior Day ceremony.
