Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team will play its second game of the week on Friday when it travels to Central Connecticut State for a 7 p.m. contest.
First draw control from Arute Field is scheduled for 7 p.m.

Hofstra will bring a 4-4 record into Friday's contest following 17-8 victory over Columbia on Tuesday. Sophomores
Alexa Mattera and
Alyssa Parrella led the way offensively for Hofstra as Mattera had four goals and an assist, while Parrella had five goals. On the defensive end, junior
Maddie Fields made nine saves in net and sophomore
Darcie Smith tallied seven draw controls, two ground balls and her first career goal.
Parrella leads the team with 36 points on 27 goals and nine assists, while Mattera is second with 24 points on 21 goals and three assists. Both are strong in other areas as well as Parrella leads the way with 33 draw controls and is tied for the team lead with 15 ground balls, while Mattera is tops on the team with 11 caused turnovers.
Central Connecticut State is 1-6 this season and most recently dropped a 19-5 decision at Jacksonville on March 14. Megan Szawlowski has 20 points on 16 goals and four assists for the Blue Devils, while Morgan Sinton has 18 points on 12 goals and six assists.
Hofstra is 2-0 all-time against Central Connecticut State with the Pride earning a dominating 21-3 victory over the Blue Devils last season.
