Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's Lacrosse team will look to extend its win streak to four games when the Pride heads north to face Providence on Saturday.
Opening faceoff from Chapey Field at Anderson Stadium is slated for 1 p.m.

Hofstra is 3-2 with its trio of recent victories coming against Stony Brook, North Carolina and most recently Monmouth on Wednesday. The Pride has only allowed a total of 14 goals during its three-game win streak with a 7-6 win over Monmouth and routs against the Tar Heels (12-6) and Seawolves (14-2).

Ryan Tierney leads the team with 19 points on 12 goals and seven assists.
Jimmy Yanes and
Dylan Alderman are tied for second on the team with 11 points as Yanes has eight goals and three assists and Alderman has four goals and seven assists.
Kyle Gallagher has taken every faceoff for the Pride this season and is 52-87, while also totaling a team-best 34 ground balls.
In the net,
Jack Concannon has a 5.82 goals against average and a save percentage of .613. Concannon, arguably the best goalie in the nation, leads NCAA Division I in goals against average.
Providence is 3-4 this season and is coming off an 11-8 loss to Harvard on March 10. Sean Leahey leads the Friars with 16 points on 11 goals and five assists, while Nick Hatzipetrakos has a team-high 14 goals. Alex George, who has taken most of the faceoffs this season for Providence, has 31 ground balls to lead the way.
Hofstra leads the all-time series with Providence, 6-1. The Pride won last season's meeting, 11-10, in Hempstead. The Friars won the last meeting in Rhode Island by the score of 12-7 during the 2016 campaign. The first-ever meeting between the teams occurred during the 1993 season with Hofstra winning by a score of 19-6.
