Hempstead, NY – Coming off an impressive win over a ranked Towson squad on Sunday, the Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team will look to continue its strong play this week when it takes on a pair of Colonial Athletic Association foes.
Hofstra will host William & Mary on Friday at 7 p.m. before closing the weekend with a road contest at Elon on Sunday afternoon at 12 p.m.

Sunday's game will be the "
CAA Game of the Week" on the Lax Sports Network. As part of the
CAA/LSN package, LSN will be the only outlet video streaming this contest and there will be a fee.
Hofstra (7-6, 1-3 CAA) earned its seventh win of the season with a stunning second half rally on Sunday as it defeated Towson, 17-15, after trailing 11-7 at halftime. The victory was the program's highest ranked win since a 9-8 win over #8 Towson on May 6, 2010. In addition it is the most goals the Pride has scored against the Tigers since an 18-10 win on April 6, 2001.

Drew Shapiro and freshman
Alyssa Parrella were huge in the win as Shapiro posted a career-best five goals and tied her career-high with five draw controls. Parrella had a game-high seven points and tied for game-high honors with six goals, while also adding four ground balls and two draw controls. Sophomore
Maddie Fields made 10 saves in the game, including a couple point-blank saves in the closing minutes to allow Hofstra to earn the win. It marked her fourth game this season with double figures in saves.
Parrella now leads Hofstra with 68 points on 43 goals and 25 assists. Senior
Becky Conto ranks second on the squad with 37 points (30G, 7A), while Shapiro is right behind with 33 points (27G, 6 A). Parrella actually leads the Pride in every field statistical category as she also has 51 draw controls, 35 ground balls and 19 caused turnovers.
William & Mary enters the week with a 3-12 overall record and a 0-4 conference mark. They most recently dropped a 12-8 decision to Drexel on Sunday. Lindsey Jenks has 42 points on 33 goals and nine assists to lead the Tribe.
Elon is 10-5 and 2-2 in the CAA following a 6-3 win over Delaware on Sunday. Stephanie Asher has posted 56 points on 48 goals and eight assists to lead the Phoenix this season.
Hofstra is 10-6 all-time against the Tribe and 1-1 all-time against the Phoenix. The Pride has won three straight against William & Mary, including a 10-9 overtime decision in Williamsburg last year. The two all-time meetings with Elon have occurred since they joined the CAA, with the Pride winning the first meeting in 2015 and the Phoenix returning the favor a season ago.
