South Orange, N.J. and Hempstead, N.Y. – Hofstra Softball will play a pair of non-conference midweek games, travelling to Seton Hall for a 4 p.m. contest on Tuesday, before hosting LIU Brooklyn at 6 p.m. on Wednesday at Bill Edwards Stadium.
Both games will be available via live stats. The contest at Seton Hall will also be available via live video, free of charge. Hofstra's home game on Wednesday will have an audio-only broadcast, which can be accessed on the Hofstra portal. Freshman
Kristin Hallam comes into the week on a five-game hitting streak, adding three runs and three RBIs in that span. She now leads the team in hits and has raised her batting average to .304.
Seton Hall (18-15-1, 5-4 BIG EAST) took two of three from Georgetown in a conference series this weekend after dropping a midweek contest to Rutgers. The Pirates have five hitters batting over .300, led by Alexis Walkden, who is hitting .387 and topping the team with 10 home runs, 41 hits and 29 RBIs.
In the circle, Seton Hall primarily uses a four-pitcher rotation, with Reganne Camp posting the staff's best record (17-9) and ERA (3.44) with 59.0 innings pitched.
The Pride is 13-9 all-time against the Pirates, including taking the past four meetings.
LIU Brooklyn (16-22, 2-2 NEC) will play a conference doubleheader with Saint Francis on Monday before making the trip to Hempstead on Wednesday. The Blackbirds' offense has been distributed across their lineup, with Victoria Zamora leading in batting average at .379, Samantha Offenbeck leading in home runs with six and Schae Dickson leading in RBIs with 27.
Erynn Sobieski (9-7) has seen the most work in the circle, posting a 4.52 ERA and striking out 40 in 113.0 innings pitched.
Hofstra and LIU Brooklyn have met just twice before, with the series split at one game apiece.
The Pride will end the week with its first conference road trip, heading to UNCW for a three-game series on Saturday and Sunday.
