Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team will continue its three-game home stand on Saturday when it hosts #19 (IWLCA) Johns Hopkins.
Opening draw control from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 1 p.m.

Hofstra heads into the game with a 2-2 record following their most recent defeat to #1 Maryland this past Saturday.
Freshman
Alyssa Parrella leads the Pride with 22 points on 15 goals and seven assists, while sophomore
Lexi Lenaghan is second on the team in points and goals with 13 and 11, respectively.
Junior
Shea McAvoy has been strong on the defensive end all season and leads the team in ground balls and caused turnovers with 16 and nine, respectively. Freshman
Darcie Smith has 11 ground balls to rank second on the Pride, while senior
Becky Conto and junior
Drew Shapiro each have seven draw controls to trail Parrella by one in that category.
Johns Hopkins enters this weekend's game sporting a 6-1 record following a 12-8 victory at home over UMBC on Wednesday. Miranda Ibello leads the Blue Jays in scoring with 23 points on 11 goals and 12 assists, while Haley Schweizer is tops on the team with 15 goals. Caroline Federico leads JHU with 16 ground balls, while Claudia Flister has 12 caused turnovers and Schweizer has 19 draw controls.
Johns Hopkins leads the all-time series with Hofstra, 4-2, and won last season's meeting in Baltimore. Hofstra and Hopkins faced each other in the 2007 NCAA Tournament First Round in Hempstead, the Pride's last NCAA Tournament appearance.
