Stony Brook, NY – Graduate-students
Sara Buckley finished 18th and Lily Mako placed 24th to lead the Hofstra Women's Cross Country team at the Stony Brook University Wolfie Invitational on the Stony Brook campus Saturday.
Buckley, a graduate-student who ran at the University of Hartford, placed 18th in 20:52 to lead the Pride.
Lily Mayko, another graduate-student newcomer from San Diego State University, was Hofstra's number two runner finishing 24th in 21:04. Junior
Emily McLean-Loughlin placed 26th in 21:19 while sophomore Marlah Givehand placed 28th in 21:49. Freshman
Kaylee Stebbins made her collegiate debut by taking Hofstra's final scoring spot at 31st in 22:20.

Marissa Cadieux placed 35th in 23:49, junior
Amanda Sullivan was 36th in 24:01, classmate
Capri Pappalardo was 37th in 25:22 and sophomore
Alli Bacher was 38th in 25:50 to round out the Hofstra runners.
The Pride recorded 82 points as a team for third-place to fall in behind Columbia (27) and Stony Brook (31). Columbia sophomore Libby Kokes was the individual champion posting a time of 19:34 to edge out Stony Brook junior Annika Sisson by one second.
The Hofstra Women's Cross Country team will return to action on Friday, September 23 at the University of Virginia Panorama Farms Invitational in Earlysville, VA.
