Stony Brook, NY - The Hofstra women's outdoor track and field team had a successful start to their season at the Stony Brook Snowflake Classic on Saturday, March 14, with three individual student-athletes earning first-place finishes in their respective events and the 4x100m relay team finishing in first as well.
In the 100m dash, Jadyn Hsu took first with her time of 13.34, while
Lilian Brine finished second at 13.41 and
Natalie Campisi finished 9th at 16.11. Hsu also took first place in the 100m hurdles event with her time of 15.92. In the 4x100m relay
Avery Brawner,
Sophia Briggs,
Natalie Campisi and
Hannah Donzella finished in first place with a time of 1:02.98.
Sharyn-Nicole Thomas finished in first place in the shot put event with her throw of 10.27m, while
Sarah Purschke came in fourth with a throw of 8.21m.Â
Tori Bien led the Hofstra women's outdoor track and field team in the 800m run with her 2:29.47 time, while
Julia Mills came in fifth at 2:30.81,
Eva Mathew was ninth at 2:42.49, and
Jordan Slovensky was 10th at 2:46.38. In the mile race,
Brielle Isernia came in 10th place with a time of 5:54.67 and
Amanda Hinojos was 11th at 6:16.75.
The Pride return to action on March 26 for the Raleigh Relays in Raleigh, North Carolina.Â
