MLAX: Concannon Named CAA Player of the Week

Hempstead, NY - Hofstra sophomore goalie Jack Concannon has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Lacrosse Player of the Week for the week ending March 13, the CAA announced this morning.

Concannon, a native of Lindenhurst, NY, recorded 14 saves in the Pride's 8-5 victory over 20th-ranked Ohio State at James M. Shuart Stadium last Saturday. He made five first half stops, four in the third quarter and five in the fourth to record the second-most saves in his career for the second time this season. Concannon made 15 saves against Princeton on February 27 and 14 against Georgetown on March 5.

In five games this season, Concannon has a 7.15 goals against average with 63 saves and a .649 save percentage. He ranks fourth in Division I in saves percentage and seventh in goals against average through games of March 13.

Concannon and the Pride will be back in action tomorrow (Tuesday, March 15) when the Pride travel to the Seawolves of Stony Brook for a 7 p.m. contest at Kenneth P. LaValle Stadium.
