Princeton, NJ – Hofstra junior
Rodney Chirchir placed 151st to lead the Pride Men's Cross Country team at the Princeton Invitational at the West Windsor Fields on the Princeton campus Saturday morning.
In the final prep before the Colonial Athletic Association Championships in Delaware on October 29, Chirchir posted his best 8K time of the season with a time of 26:25 to place 151st overall. Senior
Riley Leder was the Pride's second finisher and also posted a season-best time of 26:26 to finish 153rd. Senior
Jack Finlayson placed 160th in 26:37 while junior
Austin Jenkins also posted a season-best time of 27:05, topping his previous best by 1:23, to finish in 178th place.
Alan Hetherington was Hofstra's final scoring runner, posting a season-best time of 27:11 to place 182nd place. Senior
Michael Simon was the Pride's final runner and also posted a season-best time of 27:33 good for 188th place.
The Hofstra men's team placed 21st in the 23-team field with 629 points. Columbia won the team title with 68 points. Yale was second with 104 points and Penn was third with 107 points. Yale senior James Randon was the individual champion posting a time of 24:01.
