Douglas Dourado placed 88th and sophomore
Alan Hetherington finished 98th to lead the Hofstra Men's Cross Country team at the 8K 2015 University of Virginia Panorama Farms Invitational Saturday.
Dourado posted a time of 26:21 to lead the Pride in their first 8K race of the season. Hetherington clocked a time of 26:36 to miss equaling his personal best by two seconds. Red-shirt sophomore
Riley Leder was the third Pride runner, posting a career-best time of 26:55. Junior
Jack Finlayson was Hofstra's fourth runner in 27:20 while sophomore
Rodney Chirchir rounded out the scoring members of the Pride in 27:22. Junior

Austin Jenkins (28:50) wrapped up the Hofstra line-up.
The Pride finished 15th as a team with 448 points. The host Cavaliers of Virginia won the team championship with 41 points. Oklahoma was second with 58 points and Furman was third with 88 points. Senior Eric Peterson from Butler was the individual champion, winning the race in 23:45.
Hofstra returns to action on October 16 at the Brown University Rothenberg Run at Goddard State Park in Rhode Island.
