Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Men's Lacrosse team will play their final non-conference game of the season this Saturday, April 11 when the Pride travel to Ithaca, NY to face the 10th-ranked Big Red of Cornell. Game time at Schoellkopf Field is noon.

Hofstra (4-7) is coming off an 11-8 loss to Marist at James M. Shuart Stadium this past Tuesday. After tying the game at 3-3 in the second quarter, the Pride watched as the Red Foxes scored seven of the next nine goals to build a 10-5 lead at the end of three quarters. The Pride scored three unanswered goals to start the fourth quarter and close to within two at 10-8. Hofstra continues to be led in scoring by Llinares. The Tewaaraton Trophy candidate has a career-high 27 goals and 22 assists as he closes in on his career-high of 32 assists and 53 points which were both achieved last season. Llinares is also poised to become the first Hofstra player to record 50 points or more in consecutive seasons since Tom Kessler did so in 2000 and 2001. Malave, who posted his career-best 27th goal of the season against Drexel last Saturday, has 27 goals and three assists. Hendrickson has 10 goals and eight assists and Alderman has seven goals and 11 assists. Kris Clarke has now won 154 of 236 face-offs for a .653 winning percentage. Chris Selva has an 8.44 goals against average with 87 saves and a .492 save percentage.

Saturday's game is the ninth meeting between Hofstra and Cornell in a series that started in 1972. Cornell leads the series, 6-2. The two teams last met on April 12, 2014 in Hempstead.
