Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra Women's Lacrosse team, coming off a season-opening victory over New Hampshire this past weekend, will head on the road for the first time in 2015 as the Pride head to Fairfield on Tuesday before closing the week with a road contest at Harvard on Saturday.

Hofstra (1-0) defeated the Wildcats, 15-11, on February 14 and it marked the third time in the last four years that the Pride has captured a win in its season opener.
Against UNH, Hofstra raced out to a 10-4 halftime advantage and never looked back in posting the four-goal victory.
The Pride got several outstanding individual efforts in the contest as senior attacker
Brittain Altomare led the way with eight points on four goals and four assists, while senior attacker
Sam Lenox tallied four goals and one assist and sophomore attacker
Morgan Knox added three goals and two assists. The eight points for Altomare were one off her career-high, while the goals and points total for Lenox and all three totals for Knox marked new career-highs.

April Iannetta had an amazing 11 draw controls against New Hampshire, breaking her previous career-high of eight. With the 11 she skyrocketed up the career records chart as she now has 133 career draw controls to rank fourth all-time. She is only 12 shy of the program's all-time mark of 145 (Becky Thorn; 2003-07).
Fairfield will enter Tuesday's game with a 1-0 mark as well as the Stags defeated Sacred Heart, 11-2, on Saturday. Hofstra is 10-1 all-time against Fairfield and defeated the Stags, 8-7, in Hempstead last season.
The game against the Crimson will be the first-ever between Hofstra and Harvard and will also be the season opener for Harvard.
Hofstra's next home game will be on February 28 when the Pride host defending National Champion Maryland at 1 p.m.
