Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra Men's Lacrosse team will return to the road this week, after a highly successful homestand, when the Pride face the Red Storm of St. John's University at DaSilva Memorial Field on Tuesday, March 18. Game time is 3 p.m.
The game will be aired on WRHU-FM (88.7) and in the PRIDE ZONE on GoHofstra.com with Dan Savarino and Rich DeKorte calling the action beginning with the pregame show at 2:30 p.m. The game can be viewed worldwide on the internet on ESPN3 with Ralph Bednarczyk and Terry Mangan describing the action.
The Pride (4-2), who are ranked 17th by Lacrosse Magazine and in the Warrior Lacrosse Media Poll this week, recorded their fourth consecutive victory last Saturday with an 11-9 CAA win over Delaware at James M. Shuart Stadium. All four of the Pride's wins came during their most recent homestand.

Hofstra is led in scoring this season by Llinares, who now has 11 goals and 12 assists in the six contests. Varn has 10 goals while Yapor has eight goals and one assist and Coholan has six goals and three assists. Freshman

Korey Hendrickson has five goals and two assists. Selva now has an 8.58 goals against average with 50 saves this season in the Pride cage.
The Red Storm of St. John's enter Tuesday's game against Hofstra with a 3-3 record on the season. The Red Storm has wins over Holy Cross (15-13), Siena (14-9) and Georgetown (15-7) and losses to Yale (10-6), Drexel (16-11) and Syracuse (14-8).
St. John's ranks 18th in the country in scoring offense (11.50 gpg) and 49th in scoring defense (11.50 gpga). The Red Storm return 22 lettermen, including eight starters, from last year's 9-4 squad.
St. John's is led in scoring by senior attackman Kieran McArdle with 13 goals and 17 assists. Senior Kevin Cernuto has added 14 goals and six assists while classmate Colin Keegan has chipped in with 13 goals and four assists. Senior midfielder Ryan Fitzgerald has recorded 10 goals and five assists. Freshman Joseph Danaher has recorded an 11.19 goals against average with 57 saves and a .487 save percentage.
Tuesday's game is the Pride's 16th meeting against the Red Storm. Hofstra leads the series, 12-3. The Pride has won six of the last seven meetings against St. John's. The two teams last met on March 19, 2013 in Jamaica with the Red Storm posting a 7-6 win over Hofstra.
