PRIDE MEET DREXEL IN CAA QUARTERFINAL GAME TONIGHT

The Pride, seeded sixth, meet third-seeded Drexel tonight at 8:30 p.m. in a quarterfinal game of the CAA Championship at the U.S. National Training Center. The winner of tonight's game will face second seeded James Madison Saturday at 2:30 p.m. in a CAA Championship semifinal.

The Pride (7-10) is led by junior forward Brit Blankmeyer, wo paces the team with seven goals and five assists for 19 points. Senior forward Pemba Ramdoo has five goals and two assists for 12 points, while junior midfielder Charlia Warner has four goals and four assists for 12 points. Defensively, Shannon Alexander has nine defensive saves, which ranks second in the nation. Senior goalkeeper Nadine Surak is 6-5 with a 2.02 goals against average, while freshman Krisha Giammarco is 1-5 with a 2.98 goals against average.

Drexel (11-8), which defeated the Pride, 2-0, in Philadelphia on September 23, is led by junior midfielder Amanda Kicera's 17 points on five goals and seven assists. Senior forward Emily Horvat has six goals and four assists for 16 points, while sophomore midfielder Carolina Gibernau has five goals and six assists for 16 points. Junior keeper Colleen McNamara is 11-8 with a 1.49 goals against average.

The Pride is making their fourth consecutive CAA Championship appearance and is 3-3 all-time. The team has adavnced to the semifinals in each of the last two seasons and in 2004 reached the championship game.
