After leading 2-0 in the first half, the Hofstra Pride fell to 3-2 in overtime in its first Colonial Athletic Association match of the season at Delaware on Sunday.   The loss drops Hofstra to 5-4 overall, and raises Delaware to 4-6.

Two minutes later, senior Leslie DeSimone (Roseland, NJ/Mount Olive) brought the score to 2-0 after freshman midfielder Reyna Farnum (Bridgetown, Barbados/Harrison College) set up a penalty corner from sophomore Charlia Warner (Bridgetown, Barbados/Springer Memorial).

Hofstra out shot the Blue Hens 17-12 overall, but in the second period, Delaware had two comeback goals; the first after A.J. Karsten tipped after a penalty corner at 46:47 with a double assist by Molly Burke and Katie Evans, and the second at 55:14 with Evans scoring unassisted, tying the game 2-2.

The match went into sudden-death overtime lasting 17 minutes, with Delaware taking the win after Burke took advantage of a breakaway, bringing the final score to 3-2.
