3/2/2004 8:00:00 PM

Hofstra University sophomore midfielder Tim Treubig (Farmingdale, NY/Farmingdale) has been named the Colonial Athletic Association Men's Lacrosse Co-Player of the Week for competition from February 24 through March 1. Treubig shared the award with Delaware senior attackman Matt Aldrich.

Treubig scored a career-high four goals and picked up three ground balls as Hofstra suffered a tough 14-12 loss to 12th-ranked Cornell last Saturday in the season opener at James M. Shuart Stadium. Treubig took eight shots in the contest, placing six of them on goal.

Alrich scored a career-high four goals and dished out two assists in leading Delaware to an 11-4 victory over Stony Brook last Saturday. The senior gave UD the lead for good with a score in the first quarter and scored twice in the third quarter. It was the 10th career hat trick for Alrich, who leads the Hens with eight goals this season.

The Pride will host Loyola College this Saturday, March 6th at 1:30 p.m. at Shuart Stadium.
