Biography

 

At Hofstra: Fourth season on the Hofstra softball roster...Began her career as a utility player, but has been the every day starting shortstop the last two seasons...Has 60 career hits, including eight doubles, a triple and two homers.

2010: Started 55 games...Batted .211 with two homers and 16 RBI...Hit 2.82 in conference games...Hit a dramatic three-run home run to start the Pride's comeback from a 4-0 deficit in an 8-6 win over No. 14 Oklahoma State at the NCAA Regionals in Tucson...Her other home run was a two-run shot with two outs in the top of the seventh of a 2-0 league win over Towson...Batted 3-for-6 in a doubleheader sweep of UNC Wilmington...Was 3-for-5 with two RBI in a doubleheader sweep of James Madison...Was 2-for-4 with three RBI in a doubleheader sweep of Drexel...Had a double and two RBI in a 5-1 win over Wright State.

2009: Started 46 games...Batted .235 with eight RBI...Hit .286 in conference games...Hit a two-run triple in a 5-1 win over Maryland...Batted 2-for-5 against Georgia State in the CAA Tournament (with two lineouts)...Hit 3-for-7 in two games against NCAA qualifier Illinois...Was 2-for-4 with an RBI against Loyola Marymount...Was 2-for-3 with an RBI against LIU...Aldo was 2-for-3 with an RBI in the rubber game of a three-game series with Towson (a 7-0 Hofstra win)...Had hits in all three games of the Drexel series.

2008: Appeared in 24 games, including 13 starts...Batted .163 with four RBI on the year...Was 1-for-1 with a run scored in an NCAA Tournament win over Canisius...Started the first two games of the Delaware series, and batted 3-for-6 with three RBI...Had her first collegiate hit against Lehigh and NFCA All-Region pitcher Lisa Sweeney...Was 1-for-2 with a walk and run scored in a regular season win over LIU and NFCA All-Region pitcher Blaire Porter...Had an RBI in the final game of the George Mason series.

High School: Played four years of softball at Edgewood High School in Ashtabula, Ohio...Helped Edgewood to four conference championships...Led the Warriors to the Final Four of the Ohio tournament as a junior, including sectional, district and regional titles...Named the Northeastern Conference Player of the Year and the County Player of the Year as a junior...Chosen the Most Valuable Player of the Star Beacon All-Star Classic as a senior...Three-time all-conference and all-county selection...Named the team's Rookie of the Year as a freshman...Also played four years on the Edgewood volleyball and basketball teams...Earned all-conference and all-county honors in all three sports, and was the Northeastern Conference Player of the Year in both volleyball and softball.
