Hofstra University Athletics

Second season on the Hofstra Softball roster...Was a pinch-hitter last season, but could fight for more extended playing time this spring.

2011: Saw action in 17 games, all as a pinch hitter....Batted 4-for-16 with one walk in her 17 plate appearances...Had a single in her first career plate appearance against Pittsburgh on March 6 at the LSU Purple & Gold Challenge...Had a pinch-hit RBI double in a win over George Mason...Also had a pinch hit single in the final game of the George Mason series...Had a single in a win over Buffalo on March 13...CAA Commissioner's Academic Award recipient.

High School: Played four years of softball at East Islip High School...Helped the Redmen to a pair of conference championships in 2009 and 2010...Named a first-team All-Long Island selection as a senior...Also a second-team All-New York State selection as both a junior and senior...Three-time all-conference selection...NFCA All-Region selection as a senior...Also played on the volleyball team for three years.

Personal: Born August 19, 1992...Has an older sister and a younger brother...Older sister Devin is on the swimming team at the University of Rhode Island...Lists The Outsiders as her favorite book... Started playing softball at age seven...Lists Mark Sanchez as her favorite athlete...Plans to major in speech pathology at Hofstra...Hopes to be a speech pathologist in a classroom setting after graduation.
