1) Why did you choose to come to Hofstra University?
Because I saw a program that was up and coming, and I felt I could make a difference. I felt like I could help bring this program to the next level, which is the NCAA Tournament.
2) What kind of legacy do you wish to leave behind at Hofstra University?
I want people to remember me for my love of the game and the fact that I never gave up no matter what obstacle was thrown in my direction, and for helping to get this team to the tournament (which hasn't happened yet, but sure enough will), Finally, I want to be remembered for being unstoppable in the paint.
3) What is your greatest sports memory?
I would have to say the whole postseason of my senior year in high school. We won districts and regionals, and went to the state championship game. Even though we lost in overtime, it was still an amazing experience.
4) What career do you hope to have when your basketball career is over? Why?
Hopefully when college is over for me, that won't mean that basketball is over. I would love to keep playing, but if that is not possible I would love to go into the field of business management. Eventually I would like to open up a franchise of day care/kinder care/after school care/learning centers up and down the east coast.
5) What advice would you give to a younger player just learning the game?
Practice makes perfect. Don't take anything for granted and play each game like it is your last. Also when the going gets tough, stick it out because in the end it will be worth it.
6) What player did you pretend to be growing up? Why?
Sheryl Swoopes was and is my idol and I like her style of play. I also would always pretend to be Hakeem Olajuwon. He was unstoppable in the paint and that's how I want to be known.
7) Finish these sentences:
I HAVE dreams and goals.
I WANT to achieve them.
I WILL achieve them.
I CAN achieve them.
I LOVE life!
