Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's lacrosse program announced this week that 5th year Austin Clarke has been selected as the Nick Colleluori Tribute Award recipient and will wear the prestigious #27 this season for the Pride. 

The Nick Colleluori Tribute Award is presented to a Hofstra player in the form of assigning Nick's number 27 to a student-athlete who exhibits the same selflessness, team spirit and relentlessness that Colleluori displayed on and off the field. Colleluori, who played for the Pride and would have been a member of the Class of 2008, fought a courageous 14-month battle against non-Hodgkin's Lymphoma before passing away on November 28, 2006.

Clarke is the 17th player to receive the Nick Colleluori Tribute Award for the men's lacrosse program. 

Clarke has played in 31 games with 28 starts during his Pride career. He has career totals of 56 ground balls, 32 caused turnovers, and six points (1 G, 5 A). 

The Pride men's lacrosse program will host its annual Nick Colleluori Classic on Saturday, October 3, at James M. Shuart Stadium.
