Windsor, CT - The Hofstra men's golf team won the team title at the Trinity Bantams/Hartford Hawks Spring Invitational on Sunday evening with a two-round score of 567 (+7), while freshman
Hank Kancher won the individual title with a two-round score of 133 (-7). The team title is the Pride's first since winning the Adelphi Panther Invitational on October 10, 2024.
Kancher shot a career low round 63 (-7) on the first day of play and concluded the two-day event with an even par 70 to take first place out of the 78-competitor field.
Gavin Clarke shot an even par 70 in the final round to tie for sixth at 141 (+1).
Charlie Ferrise finished tied for 17th at 145 (+5), following a second round 75 (+5).
Joseph Wong tied for 31st place at 148 (+8), following rounds of 74 (+4) and
Taishi Shigaki tied for 72nd at 162 (+22).
The Hofstra men's golf team returns to action on Sunday, April 12 for the first round of the ABARTA Collegiate Invitational at Northampton Country Club in Easton, Pennsylvania.
