Berlin, MD - The Hofstra men's golf team earned a 16th-place team finish as two rounds of play concluded at the Battle at Rum Pointe in Berlin, Maryland on Saturday. The Pride finished with a two-round score of 621 (+45), while hosts Iona took the team title at 578 (+2).
Fairfield's Rasmus Ditzinger was the individual champion with a two-round 135 (-9).
Joseph Wong led the Pride to tie for 40th place out of the 99-player field at 152 (+8), following rounds of 74 and 78.
Gavin Clarke finished tied for 51st place following rounds of 73 and 81 at 154 (+10).
Hank Kancher tied for 59th at 155 (+11), following rounds of 76 and 79, while
Taishi Shigaki finished tied for 84th at 161 (+17).
Eugene Kang tied for 88th at 163 (+19) and
Charlie Ferrise concluded the Battle at Rum Pointe tied for 90th place at 164 (+20).Â
The Hofstra men's golf team returns to action for the Trinity Bantams/Hartford Hawks Invitational at Keney Park Golf Course in Windsor, Connecticut from April 4-5.Â
