Hofstra Plays At Villanova, Hosts Northeastern This Week

Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University baseball team plays four games this week, starting with a road tilt at Villanova Wednesday before returning home for a three-game weekend series against CAA rival Northeastern at University Field. Hofstra is 2-0 at home in 2026. 

Wednesday's game against the Wildcats begins at 3:05 p.m. at the Villanova Ballpark at Plymouth. There will be no live video but live statistics will be offered. All three games of the Northeastern series - Friday at 2 p.m., Saturday at 1 p.m., and Sunday at 12 p.m. - will be streamed live on FloCollege with live statistics also available. Hofstra enters the week with a 6-12 record and a 2-4 mark in the CAA. The Pride are coming off a 1-2 weekend series at Seton Hall. Michael Brown leads the team in batting at .333, while Tyler Cox is batting .313 with a team-high eight doubles and 11 RBIs. Cox shares the team lead in home runs (2) with Brown and CJ Griggs

Villanova is 9-10 on the season and has won two consecutive games. Hofstra is 2-6 all-time against Villanova. The teams last met in 2021 in a doubleheader won by the Wildcats (5-0 and 3-1) in Plymouth Meeting. 

Northeastern has a pair of midweek games, versus Boston College and at UMass Lowell, before coming to Hempstead. The Huskies are 12-9 overall and 7-2 in CAA play. The Pride is 29-59 all-time against Northeastern.
