Freddie Kipkosgei led the Hofstra men's indoor track and field team at the Fastrack National Invitational on Friday morning with his second place finish and time of 8:08.90 in the men's 3000m invitational race. Also competing in the 3000m invitational,
Abraham Longosiwa finished in third place with a time of 8:12.87 and
Jason Kerber was fourth at 8:18.16. In the 3000m college race,
Ryan McAlea recorded a time of 8:47.51 to finish second, while
Alex Walsh was 21st with a time of 9:05.56.
In the college events,
Matthew Laudicina earned a 38th place finish in the 800m with his time of 1:58.83, while
John Ortiz was 33rd at 1:59.57.
Zach Daudelin recorded a throw of 10.93m to take 39th place, while
Evan Papadopoulos finished in 52nd with a mark of 7.80m in the shot put event.
Arnario Briggs-Garcia led Hofstra in the 200m dash competition with his 46th place finish and time of 22.93.
Steiger Devil was in 62nd at 23.16 and
Sameer Grewal finished with a time of 23.31 to take 75th place. In the 4x400m relay, the Hofstra team (Grewal, Devil, Laudicina, and Briggs-Garcia) took 10th place with a time of 3:26.31.
The Pride will be back in action on Friday, February 13, in Boston, Massachusetts for Boston University's David Hemery Valentine Invitational.
