Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team looks to rebound from a Friday defeat to Elon on Sunday, March 1, against Monmouth in West Long Branch, New Jersey as the regular season draws closer to its conclusion.
Sunday's tip-off is scheduled for 3 p.m. The game will air on FloCollege with an audio-only broadcast on the HAWC courtesy of WRHU, and there will be live statistics as well. These links are available on this page and the women's basketball schedule page on GoHofstra.com.
The Pride slipped to 6-20 overall and 4-11 in CAA play following Friday's 58-56 defeat to the Phoenix.
Chloe Sterling led a trio of Hofstra players in double figures with 16 points, followed by
Alarice Gooden with 13 points, and
Ema Karim with 10 points.
Sandra Magolico led all players in rebounding on Friday with 10.
Monmouth fell to 18-9 overall and 11-5 in the CAA following a 71-65 loss to North Carolina A&T on Friday. Gigi Gamble leads the Hawks with 14.3 points per game, followed by Divine Dibula with 13.6 points per game, while Dibula paces the team with 6.8 rebounds per contest.
Monmouth holds an 11-7 lead over Hofstra in the all-time series. The Hawks won the last meeting, 59-54, back on February 6 in the Davd S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.
