Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team aims to keep its CAA winning streak alive when it welcomes Elon to the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex on Friday, February 27, in the penultimate home game of the season.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m. against the Phoenix. Friday's contest will air on FloCollege and MSGSN, while WRHU will carry an audio-only broadcast on 88.7FM, and there will be live statistics as well. Hofstra won its second consecutive game on Sunday with a 75-43 win over UNCW, improving the Pride to 6-19 overall and 4-10 in the CAA.
Micaela Carter posted career-bests in points (23), field goals (9), and three-pointers (5) in the big win over the Seahawks, and
Ema Karim added 12 points in the win.
Picked fifth in the CAA Women's Basketball Preseason Poll, Elon picked up wins over Campbell and Northeastern this past week to improve to 13-13 overall and 8-6 in the CAA.
LaNae' Corbett leads Elon in scoring with 11.5 points per game, and Quinzia Fulmore and Tamia Watkins are tied for the team lead with 5.0 rebounds per contest.
Hofstra is 4-17 all-time against Elon, and the Phoenix have on the last three meetings against the Pride, including last season's 70-51 result on January 19 down in Burlington, North Carolina.
