Hempstead, NY – Following a road defeat to Campbell in North Carolina, the Hofstra women's basketball team makes the 85-mile journey west from Buies Creek to Greensboro to face North Carolina A&T on Sunday, February 15, in late-season CAA action.
Tip-off against the Lady Aggies is scheduled for 1 p.m. from Corbett Sports Center. The game will be streamed on FloCollege, plus there will be an audio-only broadcast on the HAWC courtesy of WRHU, and there will be live statistics on Sunday as well. Hofstra's 59-47 defeat to the Fighting Camels on Friday puts the Pride at 4-19 overall and 2-10 in the CAA entering Sunday.
Chloe Sterling led the Pride in scoring with 14 points, while
Alarice Gooden scored 11 and dished out a game-high five assists, and
Sandra Magolico pulled down 15 rebounds.
Picked third in the CAA Preseason Coaches Poll, North Carolina A&T fell to UNCW on Friday to drop to 9-14 overall and 4-8 in league play. Preseason All-CAA First Team selection Chaniya Clark leads the Lady Aggies with 12.3 points per game and 7.4 rebounds per contest.
Hofstra is 1-4 all-time against North Carolina A&T, and the Lady Aggies have won the last three meetings against the Pride.
