Hofstra Begins CAA Play At Northeastern

| By:
Hempstead, NY - The four-time defending CAA champion Hofstra men's soccer team opens conference play Saturday on the road at Northeastern. Kickoff from Parsons Field in Brookline, Massachusetts is set for 6 p.m. The game will be streamed live on FloCollege with live statistics also available.

Hofstra (1-2) is coming off a 1-0 loss at Binghamton last Sunday and is getting a late start to CAA play as one of just two teams that did not open last weekend. The Pride will be looking to get off to a fast start as it seeks to extend its run of CAA championships.

Northeastern is 1-2-1 overall and 0-1-0 in the CAA on the season. The Huskies are on a two-game losing streak after setbacks at Drexel (2-1) in the CAA opener last Saturday and at Boston College (1-0) this past. Tuesday.

The series between the two teams has been competitive with it being even at 14-14-3. Hofstra has won the last two contests and three of the last four. The teams did not face each other during the 2024 campaign.

Following Saturday's game, Hofstra will conclude a three-game road swing with a contest at Princeton on Tuesday, September 9.
