Hempstead, NY – Hofstra softball student-athletes Emma Falen and Alanna Morse have been named Academic All-District by the College Sports Communicators, the organization announced.
 
A junior from Folsom, California, Falen earned the honor with a 3.59 grade point average as a mechanical engineering major. Falen pitched 151.2 innings over 34 appearances and finished second in the CAA with 136 strikeouts while she ended the season ninth in the conference with a 3.04 ERA. She was named to the CAA All-Tournament Team for her performance during the 2025 CAA Championship.
 
A junior from North Bellmore, New York, Morse was named Second Team All-CAA in 2025 after recording a team-leading .343 batting average with 49 hits in 143 at-bats, with nine doubles, two home runs, and a triple, and she drove in 27 RBIs in 49 starts from shortstop. Morse completed the Fall 2024 semester with a 3.80 GPA while majoring in early childhood & childhood education.
