Louisville, KY – The Hofstra softball team has been recognized by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association (NFCA) and Easton for its team and individual academic achievements during the 2025-26 academic year.
 
The Pride finished the academic year with a team grade-point average of 3.53, second only to Stony Brook among members of the Coastal Athletic Association. Additionally, 13 members of the team were named Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar Athletes for earning a minimum 3.5 GPA for the academic year. Gemma D'Orazio, Victoria Frobosilo, Emily Jovel, Jillian Locher, Casey McKeon, Alanna Morse, Dahlia Palacio, Kimmya Sims, Ryleigh Smith, Madison Steppe, Chelsea Villar, and Lily Yepez represent Hofstra among the 2,637 NCAA Division I student-athletes and 8,850 student-athletes across the NCAA, NAIA, and NJCAA levels to be honored by the NFCA.
