Hempstead, NY – After six consecutive road games, the Hofstra softball team returns to its home ground of Bill Edwards Stadium for seven straight games, beginning this week with a home game against Saint Peter's on Wednesday, April 9, followed by a three-game CAA series against defending CAA champions UNCW beginning on Friday, April 11.
First pitch on Wednesday is set for 4 p.m. Meanwhile, Friday's game against the Seahawks takes place at 5 p.m., followed by a 1 p.m. start on Saturday, and first pitch on Sunday is 12 p.m. All four games will be streamed on FloCollege and will have live statistics. Hofstra enters the week with a 11-21 overall record and an 8-7 mark in conference action following 3-0 series in Philadelphia against Drexel.

Saint Peter's is 9-18 overall following two losses in an April 1 doubleheader at Sacred Heart in conference competition. Olivia Christopher leads the Peacocks in batting average and hitting, while Turner Tai paces the team with 21 RBIs.
Picked second in the CAA preseason coaches poll, UNCW is 22-15 overall and 8-7 in league play after its series against Delaware that saw the Seahawks go 1-2 against the Blue Hens. Madison Biddle leads with 24 RBIs and a .393 batting average, while Cassidy Relay is the top hitter for the Seahawks with 36.
Hofstra owns a 50-8 all-time record against UNCW and a 3-1 all-time mark against Saint Peter's. Hofstra has won the last four meetings against the Seahawks, and Wednesday will be Hofstra's first game against the Peacocks since 1996.
