Hempstead, NY - A trio of Hofstra players were honored by the CAA today as
Trevor Natalie earned All-CAA First Team honors,
Shea Kennedy captured All-CAA Second Team accolades, and
Drew Bogardus and Kennedy were named to the CAA All-Rookie Team.
The awards are the first in the careers for all three.
Kennedy is the first Hofstra freshman or redshirt freshman goalie to lead the team in minutes played since Rob Bellairs in 2010.
Bogardus is currently the first Pride freshman to lead the team in goals in the program's CAA era (since 2002).
Natalie has had a strong season for the Pride as he enters the conference tournament with 37 points on 25 goals and 12 assists. He ranks fourth on the squad in points, fourth in goals, and third in assists. Natalie also added 18 ground balls and five caused turnovers during the regular season. He ranked second on the team with six hat tricks in 2025 and had a season-best five points on a trio of occasions. Natalie was named to the USILA Team of the Week on February 12.
Kennedy burst on the scene in 2025 and made the most of his opportunity. He started 13 of the 14 games he played in through the conclusion of the regular season and made 148 saves, while tallying a saves percentage of .542 and a goals against average of 10.40. He ranks second in the CAA in saves percentage, third in the league in GAA, and fifth in saves per game. Kennedy earned CAA Rookie of the Week honors on March 24.
The nation's fifth-highest scoring freshman, Bogardus has 42 points on 31 goals and 11 assists through 14 games this season. He leads the Pride in goals and ranks fourth in assists. Bogardus also added 24 ground balls and four caused turnovers this season. Bogardus was the CAA Offensive Player of the Week on February 24, the CAA Rookie of the Week on February 3, and earned a spot on the USILA Team of the Week on February 26.
Hofstra will go on the road and face Towson on Thursday in the semifinals of the CAA Championship at 4 p.m. The game will air on LacrosseTV and WRHU (HAWC). The Pride enters the tournament with an 8-6 overall record after going 4-3 in CAA play during the regular season.
