Hempstead, NY - After playing three consecutive games away from home, the Hofstra women's lacrosse team will finally return to the friendly confines of James M. Shuart Stadium on Saturday when the Pride hosts Rutgers.
Opening draw control is scheduled for 12 p.m.

Hofstra is 5-1 following an 18-6 dismantling of Wagner on Tuesday. It was the
Nikki Mennella Show once again as she tallied a carer-high-tying nine points on a career-high-tying six goals and three assists, while also adding seven draw controls.
Kayleigh Bender added four goals and
Julia Harris chipped in with a hat trick as well. Defensively,
Brynn Hepting had three ground balls and three caused turnovers, while
Emily Weigand contributed two ground balls and four caused turnovers.
Rutgers is 4-2 this season and most recently earned a 12-11 overtime win over Stony Brook on Wednesday. Lily Dixon had five points on three goals and two assists for the Scarlet Knights, while Alexa Corbin tallied a goal and four assists for five points in the game.
Saturday will be the 37th all-time meeting between Hofstra and Rutgers in women's lacrosse. The Scarlet Knights lead the all-time series, 25-11. Rutgers won last season's meeting, 14-8, in Piscataway, and prior to that game the teams last met during the 2016 campaign. The first-ever meeting was during the 1977 season.
