Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will see a familiar opponent on Friday when the Pride opens play in the first round of the 2025 Jersey Mike's CAA Men's Basketball Championship. The Pride will meet North Carolina A&T, the same team they faced in their regular season finale last Saturday. 

The Pride and the Aggies will meet at 4:30 p.m. from CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. 

If the Pride advance past the Aggies they will face Monmouth on Saturday at 8:30 p.m. in the second round. 

The entire five-day tournament is being played at the CareFirst Arena in Washington, D.C. The first round, second round, and quarterfinals will all air on FloCollege, while the semifinals and championship game will air on the CBS Sports Network. 

Hofstra concluded the regular season with a 14-17 overall record and a 6-12 CAA mark. North Carolina A&T finished the regular season with a 7-24 record and went 3-15 in CAA action. 

Friday will be the fifth all-time meeting between Hofstra and North Carolina A&T. The Pride leads the series, 3-1, including the 70-49 win last Saturday. Three of the four all-time meetings have occurred since the programs became conference rivals.
