Hempstead, NY - Five members of the 2025-26 Hofstra men's basketball team - Trey Boyd III, Cruz Davis, Brandon Morgan, German Plotnikov, and Alex Tsynkevich - were named to the National Association of Basketball Coaches 2025-26 Honors Court, recognizing those men's collegiate basketball student-athletes who excelled in academics during the past season.

In addition, the program earned the Team Academic Excellence Award for the third consecutive year. 

The NABC Team Academic Excellence Award recognizes men's basketball programs that completed the 2025-26 academic year with a team GPA of 3.0 or higher. 

The NABC Honors Court, meanwhile, includes junior, senior and graduate student men's basketball players who finished the 2025-26 year with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or higher.
