Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra women's lacrosse team will play its final non-conference game of the season on Saturday when the Pride hosts Connecticut. The game is the start of three straight at home for Hofstra.
Opening draw control from James M. Shuart Stadium is scheduled for 3 p.m. The contest is part of a doubleheader with the Hofstra men's lacrosse team, which hosts Delaware at 12 p.m.

The first 100 youth fans in attendance will receive free Hofstra Pride lacrosse end caps/butt ends! In addition, the Army Ranger Lead The Way Fund will be on site and will have giveaways, including 50 hats for the first 50 fans. The Hofstra team will also be warming up in Lead The Way t-shirts. There will also be a brand-new lacrosse stick giveaway, courtesy of Lacrosse Unlimited!

Hofstra is 6-4 overall and most recently dropped a narrow 14-12 road decision at Elon on Sunday.
Nikki Mennella tallied nine points on six goals and three assists in the game, while
Julia Harris and
Kayleigh Bender each added three points on two goals and an assist.
Connecticut is also 6-4 this season. The Huskies fell, 11-7, at Villanova on Saturday. Jenna Giardina had three points on two goals and an assist, while Anna Magennis added a goal and an assist in the game.
Saturday will be the sixth all-time meeting between Hofstra and Connecticut in women's lacrosse. The Huskies lead the series, 3-2, and have won the last three meetings with the last two encounters being decided by a total of three goals. The Pride's last win in the series was a 17-11 victory in 2021.
