Hempstead, NY – After a pair of non-conference games away from home, the Hofstra softball team begins a three-game home series on Friday, March 21, against Delaware in what will be the final three games against the Blue Hens as Coastal Athletic Association rivals.

Friday's game begins at 3 p.m. from Bill Edwards Stadium, while first pitch in Saturday's game will be at 1 p.m., and the series concludes on Sunday at noon. All three games will air on FloCollege, and there will be live statistics of all three contests. These links are available on this page and the softball schedule page at GoHofstra.com.

After a 1-0 win over Howard on Tuesday and a 4-2 defeat of UMBC on Wednesday, Hofstra enters its series with the Blue Hens at 4-19 and 1-5 in the CAA. Alanna Morse leads the Pride with a .352 batting average, while Chelsea Villar tops the team with 21 hits and 12 RBIs, and Emma Falen is coming off 13 strikeouts in two appearances for the Pride in last week's series versus Towson.

Picked to finish first in the conference in the Preseason CAA Poll, Delaware enters its series in Hempstead 17-8 after winning both games in a Tuesday doubleheader against Rider, while a series sweep of Stony Brook has the Blue Hens at 6-0 in the CAA. Sydney Shaffer leads the team with a .375 batting average and 19 RBIs, while Gianna Costaro and Morgan Hess lead the Blue Hens with 20 hits each.

Hofstra is 76-30 all-time against Delaware. The Pride lost two of three games to the Blue Hens from the Delaware Softball Diamond in Newark last season.
