Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra women's basketball team will face William & Mary in our nation's capital in the second round of the 2025 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship.
The entirety of the five-day conference tournament will be played at CareFirst Arena in Washington, DC. Hofstra, which finished in a tie for sixth in the CAA standings will take on the Tribe in the second round at 12 p.m. on Thursday, March 13.
All first round games through to the semifinals will be streamed live on FloCollege, while the championship game will air on CBS Sports Network. WRHU will also provide audio-only broadcasts of each game on either 88.7FM or the HAWC.
Hofstra concluded the regular season with a 14-15 overall record and a 9-9 mark in the CAA following a 69-53 win over Northeastern, running the Pride's winning streak to five games heading into the postseason. CAA Co-Rookie of the Week
LaNae' Corbett paced Hofstra with 16 points in the win, while
Ramatoulaye Keita recorded 12 points and 14 rebounds for her third double-double of the season, and she notched a career-high five assists against Northeastern.
William & Mary is 11-18 overall and 8-10 in the conference entering the CAA Championship. Bella Nascimento leads the Tribe in scoring with 15.9 points per game.
Hofstra sports a 31-21-1 all-time record against William & Mary. Hofstra last faced the Tribe on March 2, and put up a historic defensive effort in a 54-34 win over William & Mary from Kaplan Arena.
