Hempstead, NY – The Coastal Athletic Association announced Tuesday afternoon its postseason awards, and
LaNae' Corbett was named to the All-Rookie Team.
A freshman forward from Upper Marlboro, Maryland, Corbett is averaging 10.7 points and 5.7 points per game in 20 games and 13 starts for the Pride, and she has totaled 20 steals, 15 assists, and nine blocks in her first year of college basketball. Corbett has led the team in scoring five times and rebounding twice. She's tallied seven games of at least 10 points, including two 20-point games, and she finished in double-digits for rebounding once with 13 against Sacred Heart in the season-opener on November 4.
Corbett was a three-time winner of a CAA weekly award. She picked up CAA Player of the Week after scoring 24 points and recording six rebounds, a career-high four steals, two assists, and a block in Hofstra's win against Iona on December 29, and she was a two-time recipient of CAA Rookie or Co-Rookie of the Week on January 6 and on March 10.
Corbett and the Hofstra women's basketball team heads down to CareFirst Arena in Washington, DC to compete in the 2025 Credit Union 1 CAA Women's Basketball Championship. The Pride will face William & Mary in the second round on Thursday, March 13, at 12 p.m.
