Bogardus Named CAA Offensive Player Of The Week

| By:
Hempstead, NY - It was another outstanding week for Hofstra freshman Drew Bogardus as he was named the CAA Offensive Player of the Week today.

The award is the second of the season for Bogardus as he previously was named the CAA Rookie of the Week on February 3.

In a season already filled with spectacular performances, Bogardus added another for Hofstra on Saturday as he led the way offensively in a 13-12 overtime win over St. John's.

Bogardus poured in an incredible seven goals on nine shots and added four ground balls in the victory over the local rival. It is the seventh-most goals in a game in program history.

Bogardus' seven goals were the most for a Pride player since Rory Jones scored eight against Wagner last season.

Incredibly, the seven goals by Bogardus are the second-most ever by a Hofstra freshman, behind Owen Walsh's eight in 1949.
