Hempstead, NY - Following a tremendous regular season in which the team won 21 matches and captured the regular season CAA title and the top seed in the conference tournament, the Hofstra volleyball team will set its sights on the CAA Championship this week. 

The entire three-day tournament will take place at SECU Arena on the campus of Towson University. 

By virtue of its top seed, the Pride earned a bye into the semifinals and will take on the winner of the Charleston vs. North Carolina A&T match on Friday at 3 p.m. in the semifinals. The championship match is scheduled for Saturday at 7 p.m.

Hofstra went 21-3 overall and 13-3 in CAA play during the regular season. The Pride had two long win streaks during the regular season, a 10-match win streak and a nine-match win streak. Hofstra finished the regular season with a pair of four-set road wins at Northeastern and enters the postseason having won 12 of its last 13 matches. 

Against the tournament field, Hofstra is 4-0 all-time against Campbell, 48-26 versus Towson, 12-16 against Charleston, 8-1 versus North Carolina A&T, and 15-4 against Stony Brook. The Pride did not face Campbell this season, split with Towson, dropped a pair against Charleston, and won both against North Carolina A&T and Stony Brook.
