Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra University women's soccer team heads south for two key CAA matchups as the Pride continues to push for a CAA Championship berth with three games remaining in the regular season. The Pride open the trip Thursday night in Wilmington, North Carolina and conclude with a visit to Charleston on Sunday. 

The Pride (5-2-7, 2-1-3 CAA) take on the Seahawks (9-3-2, 5-0-1 CAA) Thursday at 7 from the UNCW Soccer Stadium. UNCW sits atop the CAA South Division standings and can clinch the division with a win. Hofstra is in third place in the CAA North and a win would help solidify its grip on a top-three finish to qualify for the CAA Championship. Hofstra is 16-5-3 all-time against UNCW and has won the last three meetings. 

Hofstra then heads to Charleston for a meeting with the Cougars, who are in second place in the CAA South and take on Stony Brook Thursday night. Charleston is 7-5-2 overall and 3-2-1 in league play heading into Thursday's game with the Seawolves. Hofstra is 10-1-1 against Charleston.

Following Sunday's game, Hofstra will return to Long Island for a road game at Stony Brook on September 26.
