Hempstead, NY – The Hofstra field hockey team's Coastal Athletic Association schedule resumes on Friday, October 3, with a trip to New Jersey to face Monmouth at 3 p.m. The game will be streamed on FloCollege, and there will be a link to the live statistics available.
Hofstra dropped to 5-4 overall and 0-1 in league play with a 2-1 defeat to Drexel this past Friday, before a 3-1 defeat on Sunday against Providence.
Kristi Santos scored Hofstra's goal against the Dragons, while
Tess Satterfield was the goalscorer for the Pride versus the Friars.
Picked second in the CAA Preseason Poll and currently ranked #13 in the latest Penn Monto/NFHCA coaches poll, Monmouth enters Friday's clash 7-2 following a win over Maine and a defeat to #4 Harvard the previous week. Claire Campen leads the Hawks in scoring with eight goals on the season, while Lauren Relik paces the team with 18 points on four goals and 10 assists.
Hofstra trails Monmouth 6-7 in the all-time series, including last season's 7-0 Monmouth win over the Pride.
