Hempstead, NY – A big weekend on the turf for
Teresa Karoff earns the Hofstra field hockey senior the recognition of Offensive Player of the Week by the Coastal Athletic Association, in a release by the conference office Monday afternoon.
A Preseason All-CAA honorable mention selection this offseason, Karoff tallied nine points on four goals and an assist, including a hat-trick in Hofstra's 7-0 win over New Haven on Sunday. Karoff's hat-trick was the first by a member of the Hofstra field hockey team since Cami Larsson achieved the feat on September 20, 2019, against Bryant. On Friday against Northeastern, Karoff scored the opening goal in the Pride's 2-1 defeat to the Huskies.
Karoff now has 12 goals and three assists for 27 points, putting her atop the CAA for goals and points, and she is the first Hofstra field hockey student-athlete to score double-digit goals since Cami Larsson finished with 11 during the 2019 season.
Hofstra heads to Virginia for a CAA matchup against William & Mary on Friday, October 24, at 3:30 p.m.
