Hempstead, NY - The Hofstra men's basketball team will host longtime rival UNCW on Saturday.

Tip-off for the Saturday matinee is scheduled for 1 p.m. from the David S. Mack Sports and Exhibition Complex.

Saturday will be superhero day and anyone wearing a superhero costume will be admitted free of charge. There will also be a superhero cape giveaway to the first 500 fans in attendance. In addition, all first responders, our true superheroes, will be admitted free of charge.

Hofstra is 9-7 and 1-2 in CAA action. The Pride is coming off a narrow 67-61 loss to Charleston on Thursday. Jean Aranguren nearly had a triple-double with 19 points, 11 rebounds, and seven assists for Hofstra. Michael Graham added 16 points and 13 rebounds in the contest. It was the fourth double-double of the season for Aranguren.

UNCW is 12-4 overall and 2-1 in conference play. The Seahawks defeated Monmouth, 64-55, on the road on Thursday. Sean Moore had 13 points and seven rebounds for UNCW, while Nolan Hodge added 10 points and eight rebounds. 

Saturday will be the 52nd all-time meeting between Hofstra and UNCW in a series that began in the 2001-02 season. The Pride leads the series, 27-24. Hofstra won the lone meeting a season ago, 69-58, in Wilmington, and the Pride has won three of the last four meetings overall.
