Milford, CT - Hofstra's
Jacob Vazquez leads the 57-player field in first place and Hofstra is second as a team after the first two rounds of the Sacred Heart University Fall Classic on Monday.
The Pride freshman shot rounds of 76 (+4) and a career low 67 (-5) on Monday to take the lead. Vazquez is one of only six golfer's in program history to shoot a 67 or lower.
Charlie Ferrise is Hofstra's next-best scorer and sits tied for 18th after rounds of 77 and 74.
Eugene Kang shot rounds of 80-73 to tie for 26th.
Joseph Giamanco and
Gavin Clarke are tied for 30th after rounds of 76-78 and 75-79, respectively.
Hofstra sits in second place at 596 (+20), just two strokes behind Manhattan at 594 (+18).
The final round of the SHU Fall Classic gets underway Tuesday morning from Great River Golf Club in Milford, Connecticut.
